The Science Behind Matic’s HEPA-12 Bag: Smarter Cleaning and Reimagined Vacuum Hygiene

Your Vacuum’s Filter Matters More Than You Think
When was the last time you replaced your robot vacuum’s filter?
If you’re not sure, you’re not alone. Most people don’t think much about vacuum filters — but they should. Without proper maintenance, traditional vacuums lose suction performance, clog more easily, and require more user intervention over time.
At Matic, we’ve reimagined not just how robot vacuums clean floors, but how they manage what they collect. Our HEPA-12 Filtration Bag doesn’t just store debris. It’s an integrated waste and water management system engineered to maintain your robot’s cleaning power with minimal effort from you. Additionally, it traps 99.5% of microscopic particles, and notifies you automatically when it’s time to replace. It’s built for homes that expect more: smarter hygiene, cleaner air, and consistent performance without the upkeep guesswork.

What is a HEPA Filter Bag and Why Should You Care?
HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air — a standard used in hospitals and aircraft cabins to filter ultra-fine particles from the air. Matic’s bag is HEPA-12 rated, capturing 99.5% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, debris, pollen, pet dander, and other common household allergens.
One Bag. Dry and Wet Waste. No Fuss.
Most robot vacuums treat dry debris and mopping wastewater as two separate problems — or don’t handle wastewater at all. Typical vacuums drag damp pads across floors, leaving dirt behind and requiring frequent manual cleaning of mop pads.
Matic does it differently. Our HEPA-12 bag:
• Collects both dry debris and dirty mop water — The bag’s dual-material design combines a fabric filter layer that allows airflow for vacuum suction with a plastic film layer that locks in wet waste, securely containing both dry and wet debris without leaks.
• Uses jellifying salts to solidify liquids, preventing spills and inhibiting microbial growth.
• Integrates antibacterial agents and a fresh scent to neutralize odors.
To take it further, Matic uses low-power suction to dry the bag after every cleaning session, preventing mold and extending the life of the bag — and the robot, to boot.

Smarter Suction. Adaptive Cleaning.
Most robot vacuums struggle as their bags fill. Airflow drops, suction weakens, and cleaning quality suffers — often without the user even noticing.
Matic’s adaptive suction solves this by:
• Using a series of sensors to monitor airflow, pressure, and bag fill levels.
• Its dynamic motor control adjusting suction power in real-time to maintain peak performance, even as the bag fills.
Whether you’re running standard mode at 1900 Pa / 340 SLPM or deep cleaning at 3200 Pa / 450 SLPM, Matic keeps suction steady from the first room to the last.
How Often Should You Replace the Bag?
Most households get 3-4 weeks of cleaning per bag, depending on usage. But you never have to track it manually.
Matic’s dual-sensing system automatically detects when the bag is full. When it’s time to replace, the app notifies you — no guesswork.
And when you swap the bag, it’s fully sealed. That means no contact with dust, debris, or moisture. No dust clouds. No spills. Just remove and dispose. Bag replacement has never been more simple.

Thoughtful Design, Real-World Benefits
Most robot vacuums treat their bag or bin as an afterthought. At Matic, we engineered the waste bag with the same attention to detail as the robot itself — balancing filtration, convenience, and durability.
Our design philosophy, like every part of Matic’s hardware and software, prioritizes real-world performance for:
• Allergy sufferers — or just anyone who dislikes touching mess or dust — appreciate the sealed, dust-free disposal that keeps bag changes clean and contained.
• Busy households who can go about their days knowing Matic will continue its cleaning schedule uninterrupted.
• Everyone — because fewer maintenance headaches and smarter automation benefit all.
Cleaning Innovation, Down to the Bag
Your robot vacuum’s performance depends on more than navigation and suction. How it manages what it collects makes the difference between occasional cleaning and truly smart, reliable performance.
At Matic, we believe your vacuum’s bag should work as intelligently as the robot itself — and with our HEPA-12 Filtration Bag, it finally does.
