Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Matic Robots Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “Matic Robots,” “Matic,” “we,” or “us”) collect, use, and disclose information about you as the Matic Robots account owner (“you”). This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you are using our products and services, including our Matic robot and charging dock (collectively, the “Matic”) and related features, reservation program, websites, mobile applications, and Consumables Replenishment Program that includes HEPA bags, brush rolls, and mop rolls, etc. (collectively, the “Services”), or when you otherwise interact with us, such as on social media pages or through marketing communications.

Summary

  • Matic Robots does not collect ANY video or audio data, except in limited circumstances when we provide support services (and explicitly authorized by you). All processing occurs locally on your Matic itself.

  • Your map data is streamed to your app locally through your home Wi-Fi network.

  • If you choose to use your app remotely, your Matic will transmit data through an encrypted cloud connection if you explicitly opt-in to this feature by providing your consent in the app.

  • When you set up Matic for the first time, you will be asked to opt in and confirm that we can log usage data about your Matic.

    • This data allows us to monitor performance of your Matic, recommend when to replenish consumables such as HEPA bags, mop rolls and brush rolls, and make improvements.

  • Should you decide to opt-out, then you will be responsible for monitoring usage and reorder HEPA Bags, mop rolls, and brush rolls. These items can be purchased from our website as needed. We do not sell any device usage data to any 3rd party.

  • You may reach out to us at support@maticrobots.com at any time to request the deletion of your device usage data (if any).

  • We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this policy and the updated policy will become effective on the “Last Published” date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

Collection Of Information

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us or that we collect related to your Matic. For example, we collect information directly from you when you create an account, modify your profile or account, reserve or purchase a Matic, respond to Matic performance reports we sent you, request maintenance or a swap of a Matic, order consumables (such as HEPA bags and mop rolls), elect to receive our newsletter or other marketing communications, complete surveys, participate in promotions, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information that we collect include your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, device location, payment method information, and any other information you choose to provide. We collect information about the transactions you complete with us, such as Matic prices, Matic consumable purchases, deposits, fees, returns, and the date and location of the transaction.

Information We Collect From Other Sources

We also collect information from other sources, including shipping, delivery, maintenance, and other service provider partners who may provide your name or email or your Matic usage condition, and other information to us in connection with service provided. We also collect data from third party services that you may connect with your Matic account, such as Google. This data may include your Google username, profile picture and other information associated with your Google account on that third-party service that is made available to us based on your account settings on that service. Our use and disclosure of information received from Google’s APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We may also receive personal information in connection with an actual or prospective business transaction. For example, we may receive your personal information from an entity we acquire or are acquired by, a successor, or assignee or any party involved in a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, and/or in the context of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership.

Information We Collect with Your Consent

When you set up Matic for the first time, you will be asked to opt in and confirm that we can collect certain information about your interactions with us or our Services, including:

  • Matic Information: We may collect information about any Matic in your possession, including the IP address from which the usage data is originating, and the device including battery state and usage data, including when you start, stop, or pause the cleaning, when you open and close the lid, change bags, mop rolls, brush rolls and when the device is performing certain activities, such as cleaning, mopping, or docking.

  • Diagnosis data and user data related to the Matic: We may collect data from your Matic in order to assist you with any issues with our Services.

  • Consumables Replenishment Program Information: We collect information about your consumables usage and shipments, such as when and how frequently consumables are refilled and replenished, where the shipment is picked up, and the quality and frequency of your consumables usage.

  • Voice data: If you opt in to the Matic Cues feature, your Matic listens locally for the wake word (“Hey Matic”). Once it hears the wake word, your Matic will send your spoken command in encrypted form to Google, our third party service provider we use to help us interpret your audio command.

  • Gesture data: If you opt in to the Matic Cues feature, your Matic’s onboard camera can recognize pointing gestures (for example, pointing while saying, “Hey Matic, clean here”). This data is processed locally on your Matic and is not sent to the cloud.

We may collect other information from you with your consent, including for example, information necessary to support our beta testing of new features and functionalities or to improve features and functionalities based on your particular usage and home environment related to our Services.

Information We Collect Automatically
  • Matic Information: The device model and serial number of any Matic in your possession to ensure proper maintenance and repairs.

  • Communication interaction data: We may collect information about your interactions with our communications (e.g., whether you open and/or forward emails) – we may do this through use of pixel tags (which are also known as clear GIFs), which may be embedded invisibly in our emails enabling us to detect if you have opened or forwarded a message.

  • Website and App Activity Information: We may collect information about any usage of Services when you use the Matic Robots Website and Matic Robots App, including your IP address, unique device identifiers, device model and operating system version, location data, mobile network, and web browser type. We also collect information about your activities, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, screens visited, and the page you visited before navigating to the Matic Robots Website.

Tracking technologies. Some of the automatic collection described above is facilitated by the following technologies:
